About Your Teacher

I’ve been a professional fiddle player, singer and teacher in the folk tradition since 2009. I’ve played in award-winning bands that have toured and performed all over the UK. I’ve performed at festivals such as Celtic Connections, Dougie Maclean’s Golden Amber Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
My duo ‘Dowally’ won the prestigious Danny Kyle Award in 2019. In the same year, I was awarded the Saltire Scotland ‘Inspiring Scotland Bursary for Music’ for my work in the gypsy jazz fiddle genre, tutored by renowned Tim Kliphuis in the Netherlands.
All of these wonderful and diverse experiences in all sorts of settings have enriched me throughout my life in more ways than I could ever have imagined. I’m so grateful to have music in my life and I’m passionate about giving that opportunity to younger people.

The classes take place in my home in Currie. I have a young daughter who will join us and we have one very relaxed cat (please let us know if you are allergic and we will keep her away).
